Title Insurance: Understanding the Basics

While auto, life or health insurance protect you against loss from something that might happen in the future, title insurance protects you against loss from something that might have happened in the past. Unlike these types of insurance that require recurring payments, you pay one premium for title insurance, and it protects you as long as you own the property.
